Integration & Extensibility

KpiX is designed to connect - to your existing enterprise systems, external analytics platforms, and industry-specific tools. Whether you need outbound webhooks, real-time streaming, or secure PLC remote access, the platform has it built in.

Webhooks & Service Connections (Pro & Premier)​

Point KpiX at any external HTTP endpoint:

  • Create outbound webhook connections to third-party systems
  • Route alert events to external ITSM, ERP, or notification systems in real time
  • Configure periodic state-sync jobs to push asset data to external APIs on a schedule
  • Track email consumption and quota usage via dynamic scheduled jobs

Common uses: push alerts to Slack, ServiceNow, or PagerDuty; sync asset state to SAP or Power BI.

REST API (Pro & Premier)​

Full programmatic access to the KpiX platform:

  • Query assets, telemetry, alerts, reports, and configuration via REST
  • Build custom applications, portals, and integrations on top of KpiX data
  • Secure via JWT bearer token authentication

Azure SignalR Real-Time Streaming (Premier)​

For applications that need live data at scale:

  • Forward real-time telemetry, alert, and KPI streams to external consumers via Azure SignalR
  • Build custom front-ends or BI tools that receive live data without polling

Third-Party Integrations (Premier)​

Pre-built connectors available for:

  • SAP - asset and maintenance data sync
  • Power BI - live and historical KPI visualisation
  • MS Teams - alert notifications in team channels
  • Custom integrations via Webhook + REST API

ETL & Data Forwarding​

  • Forward raw telemetry to external data warehouses or analytics platforms
  • Configurable ETL pipeline per application
  • Point data to Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Databricks, or any HTTP target

PLC & VPN Remote Access​

For organisations managing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in the field:

  • Issue and manage OpenVPN certificates per device from the platform
  • View all currently connected devices via the VPN network
  • Engineers can remote into PLCs through the KpiX-managed VPN - no separate VPN infrastructure needed

Proprietary Gateway Protocols (Pro & Premier)​

The KpiX Proprietary Gateway enables connectivity for devices that can't connect directly to the cloud:

  • BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)
  • Modbus (RS-485 / TCP)
  • Siemens S7 and other industrial bus protocols
  • Custom serial protocols via the Intelligent Edge Agent
